This time series animation shows Monserrat erupting from 5 Aug 1997 to 8 Aug 1997. The animation is made from the 11 micron channel (channel 4) and 12 micron channel (channel 5) of GOES-8 by applying the following the 2-D color lookup table to channel 4 and the channel 4 - channel 5 difference.
