These image pairs were originally created for use in making a lenticular postcard (a sample product that could be used at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics.)
This second version of this image set uses SEAWIFS and NDVI for the color of the continents and the NCEP and MODIS global cloud texture. The night image uses the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) Operational Linescan System (OLS) 'night lights dataset' superimposed on a modified version of the daytime land.
